Step 2: Cut a hole in the foam-core or mat board large enough so both thermometers fit side-by-side. They should protrude into the open area without touching one another. Their ball-end should be free of the board.

  • First, use a piece of scrap paper to determine the size of the hole.
  • Use this paper to mark where the hole will go on your board.
  • Cut the board as marked; push out the cut piece to create a hole in the board.
