Some thermometers may not be certified accurate within a small tolerance and may yield different readings, even when at the same temperature. Check the accuracy of your thermometers by placing both simultaneously in cold water, noting the temperature on each. Repeat with hot water.
If there is a difference, note it and correct for it when taking Relative Humidity readings.
