To assemble a desiccation chamber:

1. Place the lid upside down onto a table where the book can be left undisturbed for some time – up to a few weeks, depending upon how wet the book is.

2. Pour about two cups of cat litter into the lid. Be careful to keep the grooves clear where the bottom of the tub fits into the lid. The amount of litter needed will depend on the size of the container
